Managing Topics

Topics are broad categories used to tag and filter resources — like "Prayer," "Faith," or "Community." Visitors can use topics to browse related content in your resource library.

Creating a topic

  1. Go to Structure → Topics
  2. Click the + button
  3. Enter the Title and generate a Slug
  4. Add a Description for SEO
  5. Optionally set a Parent Topic to create a hierarchy

Topic hierarchy

Topics support one level of nesting via the Parent Topic field. For example, you could have a parent topic "God" with child topics "God the Father" and "God the Son." Only top-level topics (those without a parent) can be selected as parents.

RSS feeds

Each topic has its own RSS feed at /resources/topics/your-topic-slug/feed.

Tip: A resource has exactly one topic — pick the main subject it's about. Use Series and Scripture for other facets. Consistent topic choices make the library much easier to browse.
