Event Categories

Event categories help visitors filter and find relevant events on your events page. Common categories include "Youth," "Worship," "Community," and "Missions."

Creating a category

  1. Go to Structure → Event Categories
  2. Click the + button
  3. Enter the Title and generate a Slug
  4. Click Publish

Assigning categories

To assign a category, edit an event and select a category from the ** Category** field. Each event can have one category. Events without a category will still appear on the events page but won't be filterable.

Tip: Keep your category list focused — 4 to 8 categories is a good range. Too many categories can overwhelm visitors rather than help them.
