Announcements are time-sensitive messages displayed prominently on your site. There are two types:
Announcement Bar
The announcement bar appears at the top of every page as a thin, colored strip. It's ideal for short messages like "Sunday service moved to 10am this week" or "Join us for our Christmas Eve service."
To enable it, go to Settings → General and toggle Show Announcement. Then create or edit your announcement in Structure → Announcements.
Announcement Popup
The popup is a modal that appears when visitors first land on your site. It's more attention-grabbing and suited for major announcements, seasonal campaigns, or special events.
Configure the popup in Settings → Announcement Popup.
Tip: Use the announcement bar for routine updates and the popup sparingly for big moments. Too many popups can frustrate your visitors.
